Welcome to MGF Counselling Services

Welcome to my website, where I would like to introduce myself and explain how I hope to be able to assist you.. My name is Glenys Forrester and I am a trained Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist with an interest in health psychology, both physical and emotional.

I was born in the United Kingdom but educated and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology and Relational Psychotherapy in Canada and the Unites States. I have many years of counselling experience, beginning in the field of human resources and for a long period of time in the field of sexual abuse/assault.

I can offer you assistance with a wide range of problems, including anxiety, depression, stress, illness, phobias and relationship-issues.

Is counselling right for you?  

Sessions are conducted over a period of one hour and, while it is not necessary to commit to more than one counselling session, it is not really very realistic to expect that a single conversation with a counsellor will resolve the problem.

How to arrange your counselling  

You can make your initial appointment by telephone or by email and choose how you wish your counselling session with me to be conducted. We can meet face-to-face at my office, talk by telephone or have a video call using Skype.

The Aims of Counselling

The aim of counselling is to help to bring about the changes needed when someone's life is not going in the direction that they hoped it would. Life can deal out difficult times and difficult circumstances, leaving some people feeling unhappy, scared and angry.

By talking a situation through with me, looking at the situation differently and becoming aware of your options, you will more easily be able to come to terms with difficult feelings.
